A short distance from the hotel and at the positions Pyrgos and Fournos peak there are ruins of Minoan settlements.
At 5 km in the village of Mythoi is the Sarakina Gorge and at 15 km is one of the few remaining forests of Crete, Selakano. Both are landscapes of unique natural beauty.
In the village there is a small but remarkable folklore museum which opens, for the moment, on request.
